Course Description:

A survey course that introduces educators to Web 2.0 and the variety of Web 2.0 tools and services that are available for use in the classroom. The session begins with an overview of what we mean by "Web 2.0". We will then discuss the types of technologies (e.g. blogging) that make up the bulk of Web 2.0, along with examples of each type. Finally, we will give examples of the use of these technologies in education.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

• Define and describe “web 2.0”.
• List some examples of Web 2.0 technologies
• List several reasons to incorporate Web 2.0 technologies in the classroom
• List some examples of Web 2.0 technology uses in the classroom
